Reflection

A lot of artists struggle with self portraits, which is something I believe that digital artists have an advantage with. When I tackled making a self portrait of myself, I was getting into AI and how it can be used to make art, so I used a handful of deep dream algorithms to blend a photo of myself with various grunge and corrupted images. I ended up researching Datamoshing, which led me to use code to shift the RGB channels of the image and glitch it around for an even more pleasing effect. By the end of the project, I think the image went through around 25 steps before arriving at its final look.
